The traditional restaurant “Elixhauser Wirt” is not only well-known within the borders of Salzburg but also far beyond. Lovers of culinary highlights refer to it as a real insider’s tip. But that does not come as a surprise. At the award-winning restaurant, you can find a combination of traditional and innovative recipes. Moreover, our gourmet restaurant was rewarded a Gault Millau toque with twelve points and 88 points as well as two forks by Fallstaff Magazine.

The marvelous pub garden located in Elixhausen cannot wait to welcome you! But don’t you worry. Bad weather cannot stop us from providing the comfiest places to our guests. Our snuggeries are homely and perfect for a rainy day. But decide for yourself:

When preparing meals in our award-winning restaurant, we put high emphasis on regional products and fresh ingredients. We only work with high-quality products which later become one-of-a-kind meals. True to the motto: “Offering the best for body and soul!” That, of course, applies to meat, fish, venison, vegetables, fruit, and any other ingredient, seven days a week. No matter when you are craving exclusive treats from our restaurant, stop by and enjoy.

The classics of Austrian cuisine are, of course, a must at the Elixhauser Wirt and we are proud that we conjure up true culinary delights for our guests with the recipes that have been handed down to us:
Juicy beef goulash – imperial boiled beef – crispy Wiener schnitzel – hearty cheese spätzle – fluffy Kaiserschmarren – legendary Salzburger Nocken simply belong on the table at the Elixhauser Wirt.

This is where you meet for an aperitif before dinner and linger in a cosy atmosphere with a good glass of wine from the exquisite wine list after an enjoyable gourmet dinner. Sophisticated cocktails are also expertly mixed and stylishly served by our experienced bar team.
